Lindsay Hirst is a debut writer and one of the recipients of the Scottish BookTrust New Writers Award, 2022. She spent many years as a preschool teacher and was shortlisted in the Write Mentor Children’s Novel and Picture Book Awards.

Alice McKinley is a graduate of the prestigious Cambridge MA in Children’s Picture Book Illustration, and the successful creator of Nine Lives Newton and The Dodos Did It (Simon & Schuster). This is her first book for Bloomsbury.
