The Case of the Tall Stranger: Violet and the Velvets 4
Violet and the Velvets are off to New York! And it's nearly Christmas, the most magical time of the year in the Big Apple.
But disaster strikes when guitarist Jack breaks his wrist and can no longer play. On top of that, all their hard work fundraising has fallen short!
When help comes from unexpected channels, the Velvets make it to the Big Apple just in time to compete against the best kid bands in the whole world, including their new rivals the Blazer Boys.
But who is the tall stranger who seems to be following them everywhere they go? And could there be anything more important than winning BandChamps?

About the Author
Rachael King is the author of four books in the Violet & The Velvets series and three stand-alone novels for children, Song of the Saltings, The Grimmelings and Red Rocks (now a major television series). She began performing at fifteen years old, only six weeks after she first picked up a bass, and went on to play with six bands, including The Cakekitchen and 3Ds. Rachael invented Violet and the Velvets to convey the joy of the DIY punk ethos and to show girls they don't have to be singers or proficient musicians to be in a band.
