Following on from the success of Raumati: My Words of Summer: What do you see, hear, feel, smell and taste in winter? All the chilly words that describe winter in Aotearoa New Zealand. A wonderful way to encourage building the vocabulary of young readers, both in Māori and English languages.

In this colourful collection of familiar New Zealand images, young readers are introduced to adjectives that describe the taste, smell, sight, sound and touch of the scenes of winter, from feel of snow to the taste of a hot meat pie. Each double spread is in English and te reo Māori and the final pages collect all the words into a list of senses, told in both languages.
