Sahih al-Bukhari

Sahih al-Bukhari (All Volumes in One Book) is a literary hadith with no repetition. This renowned collection contains 7,563 hadith reports. However, only around 2,450 of these are distinct, while the rest are considered repetitions in one form or another. Repetitions often occur across different books and chapters, and they can be categorised as follows:

1. Hadith that have the same content and same chain of narration.
2. Hadith that have the same content with a different chain of narration.
3. Hadith that have more than one content through the same chain of narration.

This edition includes 2,398 hadith. Efforts have been made to omit repetitions, although some have been maintained for clarity.

The Sahih al-Bukhari collection is considered the most authentic compilation of the teachings and sayings of the Prophet (ﷺ). These prophetic traditions were gathered by the Uzbek Muslim scholar Muhammad al-Bukhari after oral transmission through generations.

Imam Al-Bukhari travelled extensively throughout the Abbasid Empire from the age of 16, compiling those traditions he deemed trustworthy. It is noted that while he collected over 300,000 hadith, only 2,602 traditions were included in his Sahih.
