Paperback capturing the biggest moments in rugby league's most colourful decade. Features over 200 photographs and key statistics.

The 1980s saw rugby league transform from a brutal battlefield to an entertainment spectacle. It changed almost beyond recognition. Rugby League in the 1980s was a time of unforgettable moments, major controversies, and big personalities. Major on-field rule changes clamped down on violence and unleashed the spectacle. Meanwhile, progressive officials, in tune with social changes, reshaped the game off-field too, creating a series of pop culture moments.

Rugby League in the 1980s: The Power and the Passion captures the characters that made the 1980s so great, as well as the great games, premiership deciders, and internationals. Augmenting the stories of each season are essential stats and more than 200 rare photos of the era.

An absolute must for any rugby league fan of the era.
