There is growing interest in complexity across diverse areas of social and governance theory. This book explores the authors' own approach to educational innovation and leadership, which recognises the learner as a complex and evolving system comprising cognitive, emotional, and socio-cultural 'sub-systems'.

Pragmatic Adaptive Leadership delves into how these components interact and adapt, offering insightful perspectives into education as a dynamic field. The authors provide practical strategies to foster adaptive capacities in both educators and learners, emphasising the importance of flexibility and responsiveness in leadership roles.

By acknowledging the complexity and interconnectivity of the learning process, Pragmatic Adaptive Leadership advocates for a holistic approach to education reform. The book aims to equip leaders with the tools to nurture environments where innovation and adaptability are at the forefront of educational practices.
