"Ordinary People, Extraordinary Deeds: A Memoir of World Citizen Diplomats" is the third and final book of Nicolai's memoir trilogy. It explains how 'World Citizen Diplomats' became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
This book details how the founders located Lifebridge Foundation in NYC, which funded four grants to enable the members to sponsor many important activities during the 1990s.
Ordinary People, Extraordinary Deeds narrates the story of the first Soviet-American Peace Walk, venturing across the USA in 1988, introducing the first Soviet citizens to meet middle-class Americans. It also recounts the Bridges For Peace New Jersey delegation of twenty citizens who visited Volgograd, Russia, and lived with their Russian hosts.
Additionally, it covers the ten-week Peace Caravan that travelled throughout Canada from Montreal to Vancouver and up to Alaska. By the time readers finish this book, they begin to understand the efforts of millions of peacemakers around the world who are contributing to a peaceful life for world citizens.
