Nothing But Blackened Teeth tells the story of Cat, who joins her old friends on a quest for the perfect wedding venue. They choose to spend the night in a Heian-era manor in Japan, entangled in webs of love, responsibility, and past memories, with hearts full of ghosts.

This long-abandoned mansion is hungry for new guests and readily welcomes them all, embracing the demons inside them. Built on foundations of sacrifice and bone, it is eager to draw them into its haunted world.

Their intended night of food, drinks, and games quickly devolves into a nightmare as the house tightly grips them in its embrace. Lurking in the shadows is the ghost bride with a black smile and a hungry heart. She is lonely down there in the dirt.

Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?

Nothing But Blackened Teeth by Cassandra Khaw has received praise for its chilling and atmospheric story, drawing on Japanese folklore to create a dark, haunting tale. Critics commend the vivid, gothic imagery and the tense, claustrophobic setting that enhances the horror elements. However, some reviews mention a desire for deeper character development within the novella's concise format. Overall, it is appreciated for its unique and unsettling horror experience.
