Mad Miniscape, Vol. 1 by Ayumu Hirose introduces us to Asahi, an ordinary girl living in a small apartment with a peculiar companion. Her roommate is the boy she grew up with, Minoru. There's just one unsettling detail—Minoru died four years ago.

The "thing" that now inhabits Asahi's apartment is a far cry from her childhood friend. It's inhuman, grotesque, and constantly demands Asahi's life at every turn. Yet, despite these terrifying encounters, Asahi remains unfazed.

As long as Minoru is there with her, absolutely nothing else matters, right?
