Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Join Yayoi Kusama as she takes you on a journey into her wonderful world of dots! Lots of Dots is a vibrant celebration of colour, patterns, and early counting, by the legendary artist Yayoi Kusama.

Shaped like Kusama's beloved pumpkins, this board book invites young children to explore her signature world of dots: 1 dot, 2 dots, big dots, small dots—through rhythmic text that is playful, simple, and perfect for reading aloud. As the dots change in size, number, and colour, children learn about important early concepts through the lens of Yayoi Kusama's stunning art!

Bright colours, high-contrast illustrations, and novelty elements including reflective foil and die-cuts create an engaging reading experience for little ones. The bold, appealing visuals make fine art accessible and delightful at the earliest ages. The final page introduces Yayoi Kusama with a short, kid-friendly biography, encouraging curiosity about fine artists and creative expression.

Joyful, tactile, and visually striking, Lots of Dots offers an inviting first step into the art world, wrapped in the irresistible shape of Kusama's pumpkin—perfect for seasonal and Halloween displays, as well as all year round!

About the Author

Yayoi Kusama is recognised as one of the most important artists of her time, with an international career spanning more than half a century. Born in 1929, she was raised in Matsumoto in central Japan where her family owned a large seed nursery. It was here that Kusama began painting and drawing at age ten. Throughout her career, Kusama has returned to the organic motifs she depicted as a child growing up among fields of flowers and pumpkins.
