About the Author

Julia Donaldson is a writer of picture books, educational books, novels for pre-teens and teenagers, plays, songs and musicals and is also a performer. She has written over 150 books and won multiple awards. In 2011, she was selected as the UK's Children's Laureate. Axel Scheffler is a German-born illustrator who has lived in England since the 1980s. He has worked in advertising and publishing and has illustrated books for children produced in England, Germany and The Netherlands.
