About the Author
Amanda O'Neill has worked in education since 1976 and has been a freelance writer and editor since 1986. She has written books on a wide range of subjects and wrote both I Wonder Why Spiders Spin Webs, and Cats. Gareth Lucas is an illustrator and designer from Essex, England. After studying at Brighton and Central Saint Martin's Art Schools, he has worked on a variety of children's books centred around the natural world. In 2016, he was the winner of the Sainsbury's Childrens Book Awards for Peekaboo A to Z. He is the illustrator of I Wonder Why The Sea Is Salty and I Wonder Why Camels Have Humps.
