"When Jade Emperor drops two gems from heaven, he sends his daughter and son to retrieve them. On their journey, the children witness the darkness and struggle around them. After petitioning their father to bring light into the world, each gem is transformed into the sun and the moon, where to this day sister and brother hold them up in our sky"--Publisher's description.
When Jade Emperor drops two precious gems from heaven, he is devastated, and his sorrow cloaks the whole world in darkness. To get them back, his children must journey to earth, traverse mountains and rivers, dive to the depths of the East Sea, and petition the Dragon Kings. With such a long and dangerous quest ahead, will they be able to restore the gems and bring light back into the world?
Following the success of Poonam Mistry's How the Stars Came to Be, this next instalment in the How it Came to Be series is inspired by Vietnamese folk tales and brilliantly brought to life by Saigon-based illustrator Wiliam Luong.

About the Author
Hello, my name is Luong Trong Hoang Trung and my English name is Wiliam Luong. I'm an artist in Saigon, Vietnam. I studied Graphic Design and have now worked as an Illustrator for ten years. I like to work with colour pencils and paint. I love to play with colours; to make viewers feel the power inside my work. I'd describe my practise as careful, I'm a perfectionist and my work is full of details. You might have seen my work recently at the Ve Ve Hat Boi exhibition, in a BeHence campaign, a Beheoce campaign & BeChuot campaign; which you can find on facebook and Behance. I’m a father of four cats, and if I wasn't an artist, I think I'd be a librarian, as I have more than two thousand mangas and two hundred pictures books.
