About the Author

Rory H. Mather is a best-selling picture book author, husband, father, lover of rhyme and hot chippies ... especially with chicken salt. Once upon a time Rory was a reluctant reader so now he writes books that he hopes will engage the kids that might not yet have found that one good book that changes everything. His book Laugh in the Bath was a CBCA Notable in the early childhood category in 2026 and many of his other books have been translated into other languages and/or released in countries around the world.

Mimi Purnell is a digital illustrator based in Tasmania, Australia. Her work is characterised by vibrant colours, joyful characters, and whimsical scenes that are heavily inspired by her walks in nature.
