Easywriter, The Flawed Memories of an Easyriders Editor
Book Hero Magic created this recommendation. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! IS THIS YOUR NEXT READ?
In this book you will find a bittersweet recollection of the beauty, triumph, adventure, sorrow and heartbreak that constitutes a life well-lived. Kai Raecke's dry humor is perfectly paired with an ornate prose that speaks to the adventurer in us all. Though his adoration for motorcycles is present throughout the book, his lust for life, ultimate freedom, and adventure shines bright on every page.
Kai Michael Raecke was a journalist for Easyriders Magazine for 32 years, a motorcycle enthusiast, world traveller, and a passionate philanthropist. He was born in Austria, and raised in the town of Freilassing in southern Bavaria by his maternal grandmother. It was here where Kai was introduced to his first motorcycle experience at the age of five by his neighbour who took him for a ride around their neighbourhood. This moment sparked Kai's fascination with motorcycles β an interest that would transform from a hobby to a lifelong career.

About the Author
Kai Michael Raecke was an adventurer, a world traveler, a modern day troubadour, a cherished husband and loving father, but he is best known in the biker world for the thousands of articles he wrote and
photographed over the years for Easyriders magazine.
Kai was a rebel, a warrior knight, a poet, an artist, and a damned fine motojournalist. In this book, he details some of those adventures he experienced working at Easyriders magazine. He was also the editor of
RebelRodz magazine which focused on the rat rod lifestyle. During his time at Easyriders magazine, he wrote under such pen names as Tripper, Red Baron and Doc. Z. If you ever had a Reader's Ride
in Easyriders magazine, Kai wrote it.
During his career, Kai founded "The Society of Weasels" a "drinking club with a motorcycle problem," that channeled the common biker's lifestyle and sentiments. This club was tied together by "loose and informal associations" with "weasels" spread all throughout the country and the world. The Weasels by-laws was published in Easyriders Magazine, and has been translated into many languages throughout the world.
This book was his last work. He wrote it in the height of the Covid pandemic while suffering from Glioblastoma, terminal brain cancer to which he succumbed to on April 22, 2020. Though he may be gone, he is certainly not forgotten. His legacy continues to live on through his written work and the numerous people he touched through his decades-long career as a writer, author, and philanthropist. In honor of his life and his dedication to philanthropic work, his wife co-founded Kai's and Cora's Foundation for Kids to give back to vulnerable communities of special needs orphans and to help needy children obtain school supplies.
