Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Willems is a delightful picture book where a bus driver has to leave for a bit and asks the reader to keep an eager pigeon from taking over driving duties. Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Mo Willems' acclaimed picture book debut celebrates 20 years!

When a bus driver takes a break in this hilarious Caldecott Honor-winning picture book, he gives the reader just one instruction: Don't let the pigeon drive the bus! But, boy, that pigeon tries every trick in the book to get in that driving seat: he whines, wheedles, fibs, and flatters.

Will you let him drive?

Told entirely in speech bubbles, this brilliantly original and funny picture book demands audience participation!

Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?

A raucous, zany, skit of a picture book, Mo Willems' story captures the delightful and high-spirited energy of a toddler, while also engaging children through audience participation. Critics praise it for its beautiful illustrations and humour, with the author hailed as a contemporary master of children's literature, possibly on par with legends like Dr Seuss or Charles M. Schulz.
