Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Cool Kids Cook is an informative, fun and stylish first cookbook aimed at the pre-teen market. Children from ages 7 to 14 are increasingly interested in getting into the kitchen.

They want a cookbook that looks cool and grown-up, featuring lots of interesting and fun facts about food without including recipes for rice crispy cakes or being patronising. This book aims to do just thatโ€”empowering kids to the point where they can put a great supper on the table (with a bit of help and guidance for the first few years) and providing them with a few exotic dishes to show off. This is not 'children's food', but real, achievable dishes that teach children how to eat healthily, shop cannily, and learn vital basic cooking skills that will set them up for life.

Alongside classic recipes for muffins and a great birthday cake, you will also find nutritious ideas such as fish en papillote, adventurous stir-fries, vegetable slaws, and homemade granola. Fifty recipes will teach basic skills and offer variations to build upon those skills. With easy-to-follow step-by-step photography, a fun graphic style for the food facts and kitchen safety, plus loads of basic information on how to shop, plan, and balance diets, this is the book to get kids cooking properly for life.
