About the Author

David G. Armstrong, DPM, MD, PhD, is Professor of Surgery and Neurological Surgery at the University of Southern California. He is founder and co-Director of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA). Lawrence A. Lavery, DPM, MPH, is Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is also the Medical Director of the Diabetic Limb Salvage (DLS) program at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
