A stunning collection of African-Australian short stories from the multi-award-winning author Eugen Bacon. Black Dingo is a cross-genre miscellany that embraces multi-award-winning author Eugen Bacon's hybridity as an African Australian who is 'betwixt', 'a sum of parts'. She is a mother, a daughter, a sister, a woman, a writer, an author, an editor, a scholar, and a friend. She is many, and it reflects in this collection that traverses transformative stories of longing and belonging, unlimited futures, a collision of worlds, mythology, and more.

Featuring a black heroine, each story includes a cameo or secondary character of a black dingo. The dark speculative fiction in Black Dingo casts black people in bold and evocative text, with protagonists that are deeply flawed yet potentially redeemable, portrayed in rich hues of blackness and light.

The literary strange unravels in these genre-bending Afro-irreal tales of longing and belonging, unlimited futures, a collision of worlds, and everything in between: rich hues of shadow and light.

AUTHOR: Tanzanian-born author Eugen Bacon is a British Fantasy Award winner, a Foreword Indies Award winner, and a twice World Fantasy Award finalist. Danged Black Thing made the Otherwise Award Honor List as a 'sharp collection of Afro-Surrealist work', and was a 2024 Philip K. Dick Award nominee. Visit her at eugenbacon.com.
