Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees
Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees
Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees is a tale that invites you to live, laugh, and shed blood. In this twisted debut graphic novel, imagine the crossing of Dexter with Richard Scarry's Busy, Busy Town.
Meet Samantha Strong, a small-town serial killer, upstanding citizen, and adorable brown bear. Samantha's golden rule is simple: maintain the peace. The bustling big city beyond the forest is filled with perfectly ripe potential victims. Yet, after working so hard to craft a cosy life and a thriving business amidst a community of friendly fellow animal folk, warm decor, and the scents of cedar trees and freshly baked apple pie, disruption is the last thing she wants.
However, Samantha's world threatens to crumble when one of Woodbrook's own faces a grisly, mysterious demise. Her indignation is palpable, and the lengths she will go to protect her peace are boundless. The race is on to hunt down her rival before the town self-destructs and Sheriff Patterson starts (literally) barking up the wrong tree.
Cute critters arenβt immune to crime in this original graphic novel debut by writer-artist Patrick Horvath.
