Being Edie Is Hard Today tells the story of a difficult day for Edie. No one seems to understand her—not her mother, her teachers, nor the kids at school. What if she could be an animal? Edie's vivid imagination might offer the perfect escape, but she realises she cannot run from her feelings forever if she wishes to feel comfortable in her own skin.

Debut author/illustrator team Ben Brashares and Elizabeth Bergeland present an entirely original, wry, and poignant take on experiencing a bad day and the resilience to try again the next.
