Barney the Barnacle
Barney the Barnacle is a stunningly illustrated picture book about how music makes us feel.
No matter what, no matter how, Barney will not be moved.
Barney is completely unbothered by everything that happens around him. He will not play with the fish, he won't listen to the birds, and he won't even move when the sea and the sky cause a big storm. He can't be moved. Until a shipwrecked band washes up onto his rock and they begin to play...
A breathtakingly illustrated story about the power of music and how it moves us.

About the Author
Christian Foley is a writer, rapper and a teacher. Over the last decade, Christian has worked with thousands of children, and hundreds of teachers every year, visiting primary and secondary schools and delivering workshops for staff and students. Outside of the classroom, in the field of music, Christian has released two rap albums Excommunication and Happy Hour which focus on mental health. As an author, he has written two โHip-Hop picture booksโ for Early Years students, The Oddsocktopus (2023) and Some Bears (2024) featuring his trademark tongue twisting rhymes, bringing Hip-Hop to the page. Christian is also the editor of a number of poetry anthologies written by the young people he teaches.
