The other villagers suspect foul play and are quick to blame Richard, Emily's next-door neighbour and a newcomer to the village. Determined to find out the truth behind the death in the village, Emily travels to London to track down the man with whom Richard's wife was having an affair.

Unfortunately for Emily, her visit does not go as planned. Instead of helping clear Richard's name, she finds her own life is in danger...
