Vivienne Westwood by Tom Rasmussen delves into more than five decades of a fashion icon who ceaselessly broke the rules and pushed the boundaries of the fashion world. Renowned for her rebellious spirit and avant-garde designs, Westwood lived a life dedicated to free artistic expression that continues to redefine fashion and inspire generations worldwide.
She gifted us countless iconic moments and designs, from her days at the Kings Road βSEXβ shop to wearing no knickers when receiving her OBE from the Queen. Her trailblazing 90s runway collections and tireless pursuit of social and climate justice are further testaments to her impact.
Beginning with her working-class upbringing and traversing through the McLaren years, this book explores her contributions to early punk culture, her most iconic collections, and her relentless activism. Vivienne Westwood is a new illustrated guide to a true one-of-a-kind visionary.
