She has contributed to magazines such as Let's Knit, Crafts Beautiful, Embroidery, Needlecraft, Woman's Weekly, Family Circle, Practical Parenting, and Art Attack, and has appeared on television demonstrating various crafts.

She particularly enjoys recycling and reinventing through art and craft activities. Susie is also a qualified teacher, running workshops in drawing and painting, knitting and crochet, embroidery, and 3D design. She is the founder member of the East Greenwich knitting group, "Knitting Night at The Pelton".
