The Hunting Moon follows Winnie Wednesday, who has achieved everything she thought she desired. After successfully passing the perilous hunter trials, her family has been reinstated into the Luminaries, and she has gained the status of a local celebrity.

The Girl Who Jumped. The Girl Who Got Bitten.

Unfortunately, despite her achievements, something feels amiss. No one believes her warnings about the new nightmare, the Whisperer, which is targeting hunters every night. The blame is placed on the werewolf, even though Winnie is convinced of the wolf’s innocence.

Moreover, as she follows her father's cryptic clues about the Dianas, their magical abilities, and the events in Hemlock Falls four years prior, she finds herself with more questions than answers.

To make matters more complicated, the only person who can assist her is Jay Friday, a boy with numerous problems of his own.

As both bodies and secrets accumulate around town, Winnie is forced to contemplate the true meaning of being a Wednesday and a Luminaryβ€”and where her steadfast loyalties may ultimately lie.
