About the Author
Tim Waitai-Tipene, (Ngati Kuri/Ngati Whatua) - was adopted into the Waitai-Tipene whanau as a toddler. He was raised in two cultures, NZ Maori and NZ European. Tim is the author of more than thirteen books, five of which have won awards, and writes for younger readers of all ages. Isobel Te Aho-White, (Ngati Kahungunu/Ngai Tahu) - a very popular illustrator based in Wellington. "My personal artwork is definitely about connecting people with each other and with nature ... uplifting people, especially young women," Izzy remarks.
