Ruby Madison has six weeks to write an ice hockey romance—a sport she knows precisely nothing about. Which is how she finds herself in Moonshot, Montana, staying in hockey captain Nick Galaxy's guest house to find out everything about the sport he has dedicated his life to.

But soon Nick begrudgingly starts to crave the fun and sunshine Ruby has brought into his life, and she starts to see the gentle nature hiding behind his gruff exterior. And as she starts to fall for Moonshot's star hockey player, Ruby's romance falls into place.
