About the Author

Ruth Martin is a freelance author and editor, specialising in writing books for children on natural history and the creative arts. Before becoming an author, Ruth worked in the publishing industry for more than 20 years, as a bookseller, an editorial manager and a freelance editorial consultant for a range of market-leading publishers. She now writes from the Cotswolds, where she is also raising two daughters and running a textiles studio.

Xuan Lee was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She studied fashion design and graphic design and has many years of experience working on children's books and magazines for local and foreign publishers. Her creative inspiration comes from a lot of things in life, especially the colours and structures in nature.
