Meenakshi Gigi Durham is Associate Professor of Journalismand Mass Communication at the University of Iowa. She has publishedwidely on feminist media studies and related critical approaches,especially those of race, class, and sexuality. She is the authorof The Lolita Effect (2008). Douglas M.
