BEASTARS, Vol. 12
At this high school, instead of jocks and nerds, the students are divided into predators and prey. Rated: T+ - Teen Plus
BEASTARS, Vol. 12 takes us to a high school where students are literally divided into predators and prey. Friendships are crucial in maintaining the fragile peace within this society. But who among them will rise to become a Beastar—a hero destined to lead in a world naturally rife with mistrust?
After his savage battle with the brown bear Riz, doors start to close for gray wolf Legoshi, forcing him to strike out on his own. Temptation looms when he befriends Merino sheep Seven, an herbivore being harassed at work by her carnivore colleagues.
The narrative introduces the current valiant Beastar, horse Yahya, who shares a history with Legoshi’s family. Yahya, much like Legoshi and Louis, yearns to improve the world—but do his ends justify his means?
The story also explores the paths of Louis and Legoshi as they each confront issues with their father figures.
