Turning Right - Inspire the Magic
Turning Right is a book for people, like champion ultra marathon runner Kay Bretz, who have the courage to lead a life where they shine brightly.
2022 Independent Publisher Book Awards - Silver medallist
Foreword by Deon Leonard, author of the international bestseller Finding Gobi
A compelling, award-winning account of marathon runner Kay Bretz's transformation into one of the best ultra-runners in the world, for fans of David Goggins' Can't Hurt Me.
Ultra-runner Kay Bretz beat the race record of Australia's Big Red Run by more than five hours and was awarded the Australian Ultra Performance of the Year Award at the 24-hour world championships in France. However, it took a significant change in mindset to achieve this feat.
In Turning Right, the elite athlete and executive coach shares his fascinating personal journey to success. He interweaves his remarkable running journey with how he overcame physical, mental, and professional challenges to achieve his goals and break recordsβall by turning right, as his perspective on what he was capable of began to shift.
Bretz explains how he overcame self-imposed limitations that prevented him from reaching his dreams. He often rejected what was reasonable and logical, finding the magic instead. Brilliantly combining his incredible running journey with challenges in his professional and personal life, Bretz illustrates leaving behind the reasonable and logical to discover the magic.
With valuable lessons in resilience and change management, this book offers readers applicable insights for their personal and professional lives, inspiring others to find their own magic.
