We absolutely loved having Dr Paul Wood pop into Book Hero HQ this week to celebrate the release of his new book, 'Better Never Stops'.
One of my favourite parts of this job is getting to sit down with authors and hear the stories behind their books, and Paul was an absolute joy to chat to. He has this incredible energy that's completely contagious. You genuinely couldn't help but leave the conversation feeling happier and more motivated than when it started.
While he was here, Paul signed copies of 'Better Never Stops' for our customers and jumped into a round of our Quickfire Questions. We covered everything from tea or coffee and where he loves to spend a day off, to what he's currently reading, the song that gets him fired up, the one book he thinks everyone should read, and who he'd invite to dinner if he could choose anyone, dead or alive.
One thing that really stood out during our chat was how proudly Paul spoke about his family. You can tell just how much his two boys mean to him, and he was full of admiration for his wife, Mary-Ann Moller, who recently won bronze at the UCI World Masters Mountain Bike Championships in Chile. Talk about a high-achieving couple!
Of course, we couldn't let him leave without asking the big questions. What does he hope readers take away from 'Better Never Stops'? And what's the best piece of advice he's ever received?
