See moreA seven-year-old compares her Grandad's food likes and dislikes with her own and discovers just how fussy he really is. While she thinks almost everything tastes better with tomato sauce, Grandma would love to change her mind. But there is one food they all agree needs no sauce at all.
- What is the definition of a fussy eater? Who decides? Parents have agonised about their children’s food preferences for generations, but here we find a grandfather with very particular food likes and dislikes, and a grandchild who likes to make lists.
- In a world of fast food and takeaway meals, My Grandad is a Fussy Eater turns the reader’s focus towards home grown vegetables and home-made meals. This read-aloud friendly and fun story could provide the ideal starter for both family and classroom discussions about food preferences, cultural food comparisons, cooking styles and food cultivation.
- Fun, laughter, and non-judgemental opinions about food are the focus for this multi-generational story My Grandad is a Fussy Eater.
A seven-year-old compares her Grandad’s food likes and dislikes with her own as she learns about his level of fussiness.
In her opinion, most food tastes better with tomato sauce – a habit Grandma would love to change.
There is, however, one food everyone agrees they love – and it certainly does not need tomato sauce.
