A gloriously funny ride through modern times Evening Standard

Past Imperfect tells the story of Damian Baxter, a man who is very, very rich. Yet, despite his considerable wealth, he is burdened with a pressing concern: who should inherit his fortune? As the weeks pass, this question becomes more and more urgent.

The plot thickens when Damian receives a letter from an ex-girlfriend. The letter suggests that Damian may have fathered a child in his younger days, but it offers no additional details and is frustratingly anonymous.

Uncovering the truth behind the letter's claim is no simple task. The only person Damian can turn to for assistance in this delicate matter also happens to be his sworn enemy.
