About the Author
Helena Harastova is a writer, translator, and mother. She graduated in Dramaturgy from the Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts, having previously worked for the National Theatre in Brno, Czech Republic. Her most unusual pastime is proofreading texts for errors in spelling, grammar, and style.
Pavla Hanackova(19902021) was a Czech author who studied English and Chinese at Palacky University, Olomouc, and later worked as a children's book editor for Albatros. In addition to her love of travel, she had a deep passion for food and all things food-related. She hailed from a picturesque Moravian village surrounded by vineyards.
Michaela Bergmannova is an illustrator from Czechia. A graduate of the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, she worked with Czech Television on several children's shows. She has also illustrated several children's books and she also works for a children's magazine. What she loves most about how the children perceive the world is the delight that kids take in new discoveries and their straightforwardness to new topics.
