About the Author

Helen Ledwick is a former BBC journalist and award-nominated podcast creator. She began herbroadcast career as a reporter at BBC Radio Derby in 2005, spent time as senior reporter at theBBC's General News Service and as a producer at BBC Woman's Hour on Radio 4, before becoming asenior producer and on-air voice at BBC Radio 5 Live in 2009. In November 2020 she left the BBCafter launching Why Mums Don't Jump, a podcast about pelvic floor problems after childbirth. Helengrew up in Accrington and now lives in Manchester with her husband andtwo children.
