The Dance of the Hooligans

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

In 2012, when acclaimed artist Dick Frizzell moved into a brand-new, large, white studio, he created a huge, 2.5m x 7.2m four-panel canvas, onto which he unloaded hoarded clippings, cartoons, postcards, copies, and pieces of previous works.

All is explained, and then he zooms in on specific items arranged alphabetically with his own whimsical comments.

The panels are now in the collection of the Christchurch City Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu, gifted by the artist in 2016.
