A storm. A disappearance. A race against time . . .

Murder On Mustique unfolds as tropical storm Cristobal creeps towards the island of Mustique, enveloping it in a tense calm. As most villa owners flee, a few young socialites refuse to let the summer revelry end. Among them is Amanda Fortini, an American heiress, who vanishes after setting out for a morning swim.

Detective Sergeant Solomon Nile, the island's sole fully trained police officer at just 28 years old, quickly realises the urgency of the situation. He knows he must inform Lord and Lady Blake, the couple behind transforming the island into a paradise. While Jasper is occupied in St Lucia with a new luxury development, Lady Veronicaβ€”Vee to her friendsβ€”needs no prompting to rush back to Mustique. Her beloved god-daughter, Lily, is present on the island, and Amanda's disappearance stirs unsettling memories of an event involving Lily's mother years ago. Lady Vee is known for her loyalty and calm demeanour in a crisis.

When Amanda's body is discovered, a murder investigation ensues. Detective Nile is convinced the culprit must be someone on the island since flights and ferries have ceased operations due to the storm warning. However, gaining cooperation from the island's tight-knit community proves challenging. As the storm makes its impact, another person vanishes, compounding the mystery and urgency.
