Who Fed Zed?
A zany picture book about Ted, Ned and Fred, Fred's dog, Jed, and Fred's fish, Zed, from the hilarious author of The Book Chook and the illustrator of the phenomenally successful No One Likes a Fart.
His poo hangs down in one long thread.
The main thing, though, is what Fred said,
'NEVER, EVER FEED ZED BREAD.'
A darkly comic story about a pet in peril that pays homage to classic picture books such as Fish Out of Water, from an exciting creative team working together for the first time.
Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?
Who Fed Zed? by Amelia McInerney, illustrated by Amelia Tonta, is celebrated for its humorous rhyming and is recognised as a fun yet educational children's book. The playful word-play makes it suitable for poetry activities, and the story cleverly addresses topics like food intolerances and the importance of food labelling. Vivid, comic-book-style illustrations complement the darkly comic narrative, enhancing the overall humour and engagement.

About the Author
Internationally published picture book author Amelia Tonta lives in Canberra, where she spends most days writing kids' books, staring out the window thinking about kids' books, and occasionally just plain staring out the window. When she's not writing, thinking or staring, Amelia likes to help people while simultaneously playing with slime; an unusual combination that makes her other job doing ultrasounds highly suitable. She also enjoys yoga and snorkelling, although not simultaneously. Lucky is Amelia's latest picture book. Her other picture books (written under the name Amelia McInerney) include Neil the Amazing Sea Cucumber, Jeff Giraffe, Who Fed Zed?, Mary had a Little Lamb - What REALLY Happened, Bad Crab, My Bird Bertie and her CBCA Notable debut, The Book Chook. Amelia is a proud ambassador of the ACT Chief Minister's Reading Challenge.
Adam Nickel's illustration style is very much influenced by mid-century-era design and illustration. He has a background in graphic design and animation with a client list that includes The Wall Street Journal, Penguin Random House, GQ and New Scientist. He lives in Brisbane, Australia.
