A beautiful illustrated cookbook that celebrates imagination and pleasure in cooking
"Alexandra trusts children to be as capable as they are, to experiment, choose flavours they like, use the big knife, and have fun in the kitchen. Giselle brings joy and jokes and energy that speaks directly to our 10-year-old hearts and stomachs." Julia Marshall, Publisher
A scrumptious collection for anyone who loves good, healthy food and an occasional indulgence—after-school snacks, things on sticks, cakes, slices and dinners, a boiled egg to slip into your pocket for later.
Many recipes are naturally gluten-free or vegan, and all are delicious.
Alexandra Tylee is the owner and chef at Pipi Café, a little pink house, cottage garden, and pizza truck—a place to celebrate eating together and taking pleasure in small things.
Sometimes you need a layered cake, a crispy roast chook, a popsicle for breakfast... quite often all you need is an egg and a spoon.
Egg and Spoon is for children and adults. Tylee trusts children to choose flavours and handle equipment in this joyful book that will set them on a lifetime love of healthy cooking and eating. Giselle Clarkson’s illustrations are scrumptious and subversively playful.
