Australian Longhorn Beetles
An introduction to the Australian Cerambycidae, including biology, phylogeny and morphology of adult and larvae.
Australian Longhorn Beetles by Adam Lipiski explores the fascinating world of Longhorn Beetles, scientifically known as Cerambycidae. This family of beetles is one of the most easily recognised groups, encompassing over 33,000 species in 5,200 genera worldwide.
In Australia, over 1,400 species are classified within 300 genera, making this the sixth largest among 117 beetle families in the region. This volume offers a comprehensive introduction to the Australian Cerambycidae, featuring sections on biology, phylogeny, and the morphology of both adults and larvae.
Additionally, readers will find keys to the subfamilies and an insightful overview of the 74 genera of the subfamily Lamiinae found in Australia.
