Two Sagas of Mythical Heroes brings together two gripping Norse tales. The first, The Saga of Hervor and Heirek, traces the deadly journey of the magical sword Tyrfing through the lineage of the berserker Angantr and his fearless daughter Hervor. The second, Hrlf Kraki and His Champions, recounts the bold exploits of the renowned Danish house of Skjoldung. Both sagas, transmitted orally before being recorded in medieval Iceland, are masterfully retold by Jackson Crawford, preserving their powerful and timeless spirit.

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Inherited through the line of the berserker Angantr and his war-loving daughter Hervor, the ever-lethal, shining sword Tyrfing and its changes of hands frame the uncanny story of The Saga of Hervor and Heirek. A second heroic saga, Hrlf Kraki and His Champions, recounts the daring deeds of the members and entourage of the ancient Danish house of Skjoldung.

Passed down orally in pre-Christian Norse times, transmitted in writing in medieval Iceland, and here wielded by the hand of Jackson Crawford, the tales told in this volume retain their sharp edges and flashes of glory that never fail to slay.
