Turbulence by David Szalay receives praise for its incisive and stark portrayal of contemporary life, marked by themes of crisis and interconnected global experiences. Critics appreciate Szalay's skill in creating impactful short stories, highlighting his masterful, albeit unnerving, storytelling style that combines concise narratives with profound emotional depth. The book's elegant yet chilling prose is also noted for being politically charged and beautifully crafted.
