Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

First comes love. Then comes marriage.

Vlad Taltos is in love. With a former assassin who may just be better than he is at the Game. Women like this don't come along every day and no way is he passing up a sure bet.

So a wedding is being planned. Along with a shady deal gone wrong and a dead man who owes Vlad money. Setting up the first and trying to deal with the second is bad enough. And then bigger powers decide that Vlad is the perfect patsy to shake the power structure of the kingdom.

More's the pity that his soul is sent walkabout to do it.

How might Vlad get his soul back and have any shot at a happy ending? Well, there's the tale.

Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?

Praise for Tsalmoth: Vlad's cocky, quick-witted narration delights returning fans, making it a must-read according to Publishers Weekly. Locus notes Brust's assured writing and deeper swagger, comparing it favourably to earlier works like Jhereg. Booklist recommends it as an exciting continuation for series fans and a fine introduction for new readers.

Praise for Steven Brust and Vlad Taltos series: Neil Gaiman calls it "delightful, exciting, and sometimes brilliant." Cory Doctorow praises Brust as a natural caper writer who keeps readers guessing, while Library Journal highlights Brust's homage to masters of swashbuckling adventure with arch humour and archaic narrative style.
