Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

The Witcher Boxed Set by Andrzej Sapkowski introduces readers to the dark and enthralling world of Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer for hire navigating a turbulent and war-torn land. Utilising both his unique magical abilities and rigorous combat training, Geralt is an exceptional swordsman and a ruthless foe to the creatures that threaten humanity. However, his quest involves more than mere slaughter; he must grapple with moral ambiguities and uncover the hidden truths within fairy tales.

Geralt's journey is steeped in an intricate blend of folklore, intricate politics, and existential questions about the nature of good and evil. The Witcher's adventures reveal that not all creatures that appear monstrous are malevolent, and not all human individuals who seem fair are virtuous. Throughout his travels, Geralt encounters sorcerers, princesses, and beings of both human and non-human origin, each with their own stories and motivations that complicate his straightforward-seeming quest to protect the innocent.

Translated by Danusia Stok and David French, Sapkowski's richly crafted narrative balances thrilling action with deep philosophical inquiry, beckoning readers into a world where magic and reality intertwine. Featuring a unique blend of Slavic mythology and dark fantasy, this series has captivated fans worldwide, inspired the critically acclaimed Witcher video games, and led to a major Netflix original series.

This boxed set is a comprehensive collection of the entire Witcher saga, containing all eight books: The Last Wish, Sword of Destiny, Blood of Elves, Time of Contempt, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, The Lady of the Lake, and Season of Storms. Each volume delves deeper into the lore and complexities of Geralt's world, expanding the narrative scope and enriching the reader's experience.

Andrzej Sapkowski, celebrated as the winner of the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement award, has created a timeless series that continues to enchant new generations of readers. Whether you're a long-time fan or a newcomer to Sapkowski's extraordinary universe, The Witcher Boxed Set is an essential addition to your fantasy collection, promising countless hours of immersive and thought-provoking entertainment.

About the Author

Sapkowski was born in 1948 in Poland. He studied economy and business, but the success of his fantasy cycle about the sorcerer Geralt de Rivia turned him into a bestselling writer and he is now one of Poland's most famous and successful authors, selling more in his own country than Stephen King or Michael Crichton.
