The Wires That Bind
The Wires That Bind offers a compelling vision of green energy at a local level.
In this inspiring essay, inventor, engineer, and visionary Saul Griffith examines the wires that bind us, revealing the world that awaits if we fully embrace Australia's energy future.
Griffith presents an inspiring yet practical picture of empowered local communities acting collectively on renewable energy and reaping financial benefits. He addresses issues of equity and security, such as ending dependence on foreign oil. He explores the rejuvenation of regional Australia and the emergence of a new populist movement driven by Australian women. Griffith also dispels the false dichotomy between environmental conservation and job creation.
This is an electrifying essay about building a better future.
