The Uncles
A young boy calls on his loving uncles for a much-needed all boy's day in the wake of his father's death in this touching picture book about grief and healing.
The Uncles is a touching debut picture book by Tunisia Williams that explores themes of grief and healing. It tells the story of a young boy who turns to his loving uncles for a much-needed boys’ day in the aftermath of his father’s death. This heartfelt tale pays homage to strong men who step in as loving role models for the children who need them.
Lil’ Kev is now the only boy in the house since Daddy is gone. Momma and his sisters do their best to fill the void, playing video games, racing cars, and sometimes even shooting hoops. But it's just not the same. Then, Lil’ Kev has an idea to help ease his longing—he calls on the Uncles!
The foursome spends the day with Lil’ Kev, capturing memories that help keep Daddy close both at home and in their hearts.
