The Aleke is cruel. The Aleke is clever. The Aleke is coming.

Set 500 years after the legendary events of The Lies of the Ajungo, the City of Truth stands resilient as the last bastion of freedom in the unforgiving Forever Desert. This sanctuary of liberty and peace has faced countless assaults from the Cult of Tutu, a relentless adversary that has besieged its walls for three long centuries. Despite these enduring threats, the City of Truth remains unconquered, its people undaunted, and its warriors fiercely defiant.

At the heart of this enduring struggle is seventeen-year-old Osi, a devoted Junior Peacekeeper in the City of Truth. The tranquillity of the city is shattered when the enigmatic leader of the Cult, known only as the Aleke, orchestrates a brutal massacre in the heart of the capital and appropriates the sacred artefacts known as the God's Eyes. Faced with this unprecedented threat, Osi steps forward with unwavering resolve to defend his homeland and its sacred values.

In recognition of his bravery, Osi is entrusted with a monumental mission: annihilate the Cult of Tutu, retrieve the stolen God's Eyes, and unearth the elusive truth surrounding the mysterious figure of the Aleke. As Osi embarks on this perilous journey, he is thrust into a world of intrigue, deception, and hidden truths, where every step brings him closer to a revelation that could alter the fate of the Forever Desert itself.

The Truth of the Aleke is a mesmerising tale of courage, resilience, and the unyielding spirit of a young hero. Utomi weaves a rich narrative filled with vivid characters, intricate plots, and a deeply immersive setting, making it a compelling read for fans of epic fantasy and adventure. This narrative continues the legacy of The Lies of the Ajungo, offering both new readers and returning fans an enthralling journey into a land where bravery and truth are the ultimate weapons against tyranny.
