This week is fully packed with a selection of amazing new releases across every genre, for every reader.
Fiction New Releases!
For the crime and thriller readers - there is SO much to choose from. Lizzy's pick is Karin Slaughter's new novel set in her North Falls series (but Lizzy read it as a standalone and loved it), but she's excited tohave a new Lisa Jewell, and a new Australian thriller Neighbourhood Watch, which looks fun.
If you lovethe writing of Sally Rooney, Coco Mellors or other contemporary and quirky books about relationships and heartbreaks you should definitely take a look at Main Characters which both Shirl and Lizzy absolutely loved. There's also the translated French novel about those moments and memories that shape us, The Summer Boy, which looks lush and painfully beautiful, as well as Lovesick and The Shampoo Effect which are both at the top of Lizzy's current TBR.
Billie King looks wildly fun and fresh, a story about the last female bushranger and her quest for revenge set in 1918 Australia. The Followers is another very on-trend novel about the life (and past) of a lifestyle influencer and those who are following her. If you liked Yesteryear, this could be a good next read!
Non-Fiction New Releases!
This week in New Releases we have the very highly anticipated (and highly pre-ordered!) "What were you thinking!?" by Nathan Wallis. This is an amazing book and resource on parenting and brain development at every stage, for of practical advice. We also have all our stock signed by the amazing author himself!
Both Users and Being Human look like fabulous non-fiction reads. Users is about Big Tech and the way we can take action against the companies that are using technology development against us, whilst Being Human is a whimsical book about how hard it is to simply exist, perfect if you're someone who suffers from the odd bout of existential anxiety.
The Blood Sugar Repair Plan is a new program for anyone struggling with type 2 diabetes, or similar metabolic issues, full of helpful evidence based steps towards reversing the root causes.
An Ocean and a Day is a heartbreakingly beautiful memoir about the loss of the author's husband after a tragic surfing accident, a reminder about the fragility of life and the strength of human spirit.
